Blurred Updates

Follow a consistent update routine so new Fortnite or Windows builds do not leave your configuration in an unknown state.

Updated: September 5, 2026

Check status before you play

When Fortnite changes, start with the status page. It is the quickest place to see whether the current Blurred build is available or whether maintenance is in progress. This is more useful than relying on an old screenshot or a cached forum post.

Use the current package

Download the newest package from the official Download page. Do not combine files from different releases. A clean package makes it easier to tell whether a problem comes from the current build or from leftovers in an older installation.

Review the changelog

The changelog explains feature and site updates. After installing a new build, review the notes before restoring a heavily customised profile. If a setting has changed, start from your backup rather than immediately rebuilding everything.

After the update

  1. Restart Blurred.
  2. Confirm Fortnite is on the supported version.
  3. Load a known-good profile.
  4. Test the core configuration.
  5. Only then re-enable experimental settings.

See Stability and Troubleshooting if behaviour changed unexpectedly.
